A 19th Century African dromedary saddle

An absolutely stunning dromedary saddle- an excellent example of its kind with the most beautiful brass work and silver tone finial.

These make beautiful decorative pieces but also repurposed as racks.

This piece was purchased between the 1940s and 1978: we can be sure of this as it came from a private collection amassed by a wealthy Kenyan family within this period. It will predate this in terms of its age as the family predominantly collected antique pieces.

A wonderful thing. A cut above your average piece.
