This is a wonderful Victorian sign on a solid wood shield, hand painted with:

Silence is requested

This shield would have hung in a seminary or similar, and is just a beautiful thing.

The patina is wonderful.

It is a completely unique, one off piece. A must-have. We will be truly sorry when it sells.
