An large early 20th Century still life oil painting

An absolutely wonderfully painted still life, signed and dated 1908.

A large size at 111cm x 72cm.

This painting is very much in the style of Manet, Antoine Vollon or William Merritt Chase, perhaps of his school? It is signed (and monogrammed with a cypher) and dated 1908. The artist has signed twice- both in the top right (image 10) and within the gold sweep of the dish (image 9). A piece worthy of further research.

The light in this piece is sublime, and the proportions are excellent. It would look beautiful hung in a kitchen or dining room.

Superbly framed in a deep, gilded period frame. Included free of charge. There is an old label verso for the exclusive Hollywood Road Gallery (now Catharine Miller) in SW10.
