This large piece is absolutely beautiful. A very precious map of England and Wales by M Fraser aged 8 years in 1782. It is amazing to think of that child stitching this 237 years ago! Phenomenal.
This piece is in an early, black ebonised frame, possibly original. The frame has losses and repairs. It also has a very early pane of glass- rippled, pitted, inclusions etc. The embroidery also shows authentic evidence of its 200+ years of life.
The whole overall piece is truly magical.
