A Victorian taxidermy rug in superb condition. This well mounted, half head rug is of plaster and straw form and has been re-backed on black felt (remnants of original brown felt visible in places).
This piece will not be to everyone's taste - we would much prefer to see this beast alive - but having been mounted in a time with different values to ours, we prefer to preserve and enjoy this piece, rather than lose it.
