A traditional Chinese tall wooden wash stand

A wonderful, very tall and slim traditional Chinese wash stand designed for a basin bowl to sit on, but perfect as a console table or even a throne-like chair too.

This stand is beautifully carved with people, stylised cloud motifs and a pair of golden phoenixes. Utterly superb.

There is a useful single drawer, and the table surface is at a great height for sitting on, perhaps as a kind of hallway stand or console.

A real cut above the usual.

As seen in the images, but not limited to: surface scratches and marks throughout, plus knocks and chips/scuffs to the corners of the table surface. Some rubbing. Structurally solid though this is not designed for large pressure to be placed on the tall back- it should stand against a wall. No breaks or repairs.
