A Scottish taxidermy stag head by Spicer & Sons

 

An absolutely magnificent taxidermy mount by top taxidermists Peter Spicer & Sons, c.1860-1960.

Ivorine plaque to the front dated October 4th 1924 and placing the stag in Corrie Hallie, in the Scottish Highlands.

This huge, 100 year old mount is in superb order and cannot fail to impress. You won’t find better. A great quality piece.

Condition:

Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: the mount was hung in a kitchen so the top of the stag has residue which has settled. This can be cleaned if desired (wiped, steamed or shampooed!) but it doesn’t affect the look of the piece. No hair loss.
