A banker's desk chair by the Sikes Company, USA

An absolutely gorgeous quarter sawn oak chair by Sikes.

All original hardware, raised on original casters. Such a wonderfully handsome piece.

The Sikes Company was established in 1859 and operated as S.D. Sikes and Brother in Buffalo, NY. For a brief period of time they moved to Pennsylvania between 1904 and 1906. The Sikes Company then moved back to Buffalo,NY in 1916.

The Sikes Chair Company predominantly manufactured different styles of chairs, as well as, various types of furniture. Their items were influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement which was popular between 1860 and 1910.

An absolutely classic piece that you’ll never tire of.

The adjustment mechanism has not been tested.
