We believe this piece is most likely Victorian or Edwardian and is beautifully worn as seen.
It’s a good, large size and is wonderfully useful. Small internal shelf and cubby hole. In sound structural condition.
Perfect dressing, and a functional piece, too. Ideal.
Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. Please note: the lock mechanism works on the lower portion of the box, and it has its original key, but the catch on the lid has metal loops that are misaligned so these need bending into place so that the lock catches correctly to lock fully. This only matters if you want to be able to pick the slope up by its handle and carry it like a briefcase!
