A large pair of early linen Union Jack flags on poles

A charming pair of historic flags with good age. Early 20th century.

One bears the "Wolff of Southampton" label. Both are identical, so it’s likely they are both Wolff.

Harland and Wolff built the Titanic, Olympic and Britannic and these flags likely date to around that period.

Harland & Wolff was formed in 1861 by Edward James Harland (1831–95) and Hamburg-born Gustav Wilhelm Wolff (1834–1913, came to the UK at age 14).

Large size flags. Quality pieces on their makeshift poles. Two excellent decorative items with real history.
