A Nepalese bronze ankhora

A wonderful, old Nepalese bronze vessel or ankhora which has been hand cast and engraved using the lost wax technique. The detail to the cartouches is superb.

These holy water vessels were used during life transition celebrations, such as the birth of a child or a wedding ceremony & also during the death ritual.

A heavy piece and very decorative.
