A very handsome late Victorian mahogany writing table by Lamb of Manchester.
Well worn, giving it the perfect patina to our eyes.
Stamped ‘LAMB’ to the inside top edge of the drawer. A maker of distinction.
Beautifully turned legs terminating in brass and porcelain castors. Ornate original handles to the single frieze drawer. Nicely truncated corners to the top giving the piece the look of quality.
The desk has a black insert which could be renewed if desired.
A charming writing table for any setting- stylish and useful.

As seen in the images, but not limited to: lots of wear to the top as seen and knocks/marks, scratches etc to the wood commensurate with age.
