An utterly superb example of an early, very large (98cm!) mid to late 20th century tiger, perfect as a footstool, and possibly retailed by Liberty in the Omersa/Abercrombie style though we cannot attribute it.
This is an exceptional leather wrapped piece, painted, with wooden teeth and glass eyes. Just look at that patina!
Oodles of charm and character. Such a brilliant piece. Find another we say! Even the small tigers are extremely hard to find and they rarely, if ever, come up at this grand size. He’s awesome! A true statement and a supremely comfortable footrest!
Length nose to tail 98cm
Gent seen is 6ft for scale
Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: plenty of wear to all parts, scratches, marks etc. The teeth may be replacements (we love that they are wooden!). Nibble to the end of his tail. The joins seen are where the leather wrap meets, not breaks or repairs.
