A large French altar crucifix

A truly beautiful and very large altar crucifix. This old piece originated in France and is marked verso.

This very large cross is 57cm and is a truly wonderful piece.

The cast corpus is excellently detailed, and the cross itself is just beautiful, and richly engraved.

A superb piece whether it’s for decorative use or devotion.

The cross would benefit from tightening with a nut below- if the cross is twisted tight to the base it currently faces off to the side slightly, not centrally.
