A large Chinese temple or shrine cabinet

An absolutely stunning, very large Buddhist altar or shrine.

Pieces like this are very rare and do not come to market often. It's likely late 19th or early 20th Century.

Pagoda form cabinet. Beautifully constructed of wood, gesso and papier-mâché.

Intricately hand painted detailing. The whole piece is really just exceptional and better in reality than the pictures convey.
