A very large ceramic mortar with matching pestle

A wonderful, large, 'true' scientific ceramic mortar with matching wood and ceramic pestle.

Both pieces are matching, marked as size 12. The base of the mortar has a stamp bearing ‘warranted acid proof’ which is an American marking found on science-grade pieces though this would look wonderful in a kitchen.

This set has good age.

Equally stunning in a garden or kitchen, or as part of an apothecary collection.

A highly decorative piece and very rare to find both pieces at this size.
