A superb, characterful and extremely large lay figure standing a phenomenal 32” or 81cm! He is an absolutely beautiful piece!
A really rare thing. This piece has been in the private collection of a friend who sourced a case for Sebastian and had a nameplate created. A delightful combination!
The figure is hand carved and fully articulated. He likely dates to mid-century or so, but is in a much earlier, 19th century style.
A unique piece for any would-be custodian! In the meantime he’s keeping us company here.
