A large brass repousse mirror

An early 19th century brass cushion mirror in lovely order with a central bevelled plate glass dating from around 1840.

The pyramid pediment and repousse cushion design is so attractive.

The decorative pressed brass frame is beautifully embellished with flowerheads and the large crest has a scrolling design with central shell details.

The brass has a great colour and the mirror panels are the originals, the central pane being bevelled, and all the glass so wonderfully clouded and worn whilst still being a useable mirror.

A rare and wonderful addition to any space.
