A framed Victorian print of Filippo Lippi’s Madonna and Child

A beautiful Victorian print of Italian renaissance master Filippo Lippi’s Madonna and Child (in Italian: Madonna col Bambino e angeli or Lippina) which was painted during the last part of Lippi's career, between 1450 and 1465. It was an influential model for later depictions of the Madonna and Child, including those by Sandro Botticelli. The painting is housed in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Italy, and is therefore commonly called “The Uffizi Madonna” among art historians.

This large print (66cm) is wonderfully framed in its original ebonised and gilt wooden mount, and is ready to hang.

You can see from the back of the piece that it is not a reproduction but rather has genuine, reassuring age.

Such a beautiful picture, ready to grace any wall.
