A fortune teller's crystal ball on a giltwood stand

A wonderful, unusual, vintage crystal gazing ball and stand.

The base of the stand is giltwood, with red stone eyes to mimic rubies, the ball being supported by three stylised lions/foo dogs/dragons.

The glass ball is a later addition as it is fairly smooth whereas very early ones are rippled. It nestles perfectly in the stand. It’s large itself at around 13cm. It’s very heavy. The skull shown is life size for scale.

These are very rare, decorative things and becoming so hard to find, so do not miss out. This is a wonderful example.

The perfect centrepiece on a gypsy table, or addition to your wunderkammer. A great piece for any interior.
