A gorgeous late Victorian pedestal desk. The proportions are great on this example: it is a good, large, deep size.
For us, this piece has the perfect patina with the right amount of age related wear. It’s in good overall condition and structurally it is solid and sound.
All drawers have locks (no key). All the handles are present.
One pedestal has 4 drawers, there is a large central drawer, and there is one drawer over a useful cupboard in the other pedestal. Currently the cupboard is an open space but it has internal recesses left and right so you could slide in shelves. The two pedestals are raised on castors.
Plain blue leather pad which is nicely worn.
A wonderfully stylish and useful piece, looking for its new home.
PLEASE NOTE: This desk separates into three pieces- so it is easy to transport and manoeuvre into place in any spot.
