A 19th Century oil portrait of a gentleman

This wonderful, characterful, original oil portrait painting has an excellent presence and is so superbly rendered.

Good, large size. Simply framed.

Dating to the early Victorian period, or quite possibly Georgian, we don’t know whether the portrait depicts a Colonel Samuel or was owned by him.

We’ve included a picture of the Victorian movers ‘Frederick Winwood Ltd’ which we feel is so evocative, and having the label verso is a nice addition.

A very interesting piece which displays beautifully.

Ready to grace any wall.
