The most beautiful and very large dough bin, which we believe is made from elm.
19th century or earlier. Worn smooth with decades and decades of use, the patina is magical.
Having a flat top and the added bonus of substantial internal storage, this piece is incredibly useful and would make a superb console table where good looks are important.
The bin portion can be removed from the stand for transportation and/or use, as required.
A piece we completely fell in love with.
Internal storage minimums i.e. along base (larger at top)
Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. Please note: this dough bin has had a life! It’s got plenty of old, inactive woodworm markings (retreated for good measure!), rough repairs to the legs, marks, scratches etc. Stands firm and true. All as seen and all giving the piece its wonderful, authentic, rustic look and patina. More images available on request.
