A 19th Century Georgian console table with brass castors

A charming table which we believe is Georgian, or possibly Victorian.

The fan style frieze is beautiful and unusual, and the patina is wonderful.

There is plenty of wear to all aspects of this table (losses to the veneer, a near-replacement handle as seen in the final photo) but it is sturdy, standing on unusual octagonal legs, ending in original brass castors.

At some point in its life the original top has been replaced by two planks that have been painted black and have received rough use.

Despite the life it’s lived - or perhaps, because of it - this table really is a stunner to us.
