An Anglo-Indian Mughal bronze table

It is hard to imagine a more beautiful or ornate table.

On offer here is an absolutely stunning, profusely carved and embossed/engraved octagonal table, very much in the style of Persian, Anglo-Indian and Moorish examples, many of which were imported and retailed by Liberty & Co in the late 19th Century as illustrated in their 1890s catalogues.

A good, large size.

We believe the tray is perfectly verdigrised bronze, and is extremely heavy. It stands on a wooden base profusely carved with additional fretwork. The two parts separate for transportation and storage.

The top is similar to Mughal examples we have found, such as those in the Brooklyn Museum. The base may be later but is wholly in keeping.

A wonderful, rare thing.

One of several Oriental/Anglo-Indian/Moorish tables on offer in this style.
