An early painting of a shipwreck survivor

A truly captivating original work. At least 19th Century, possibly 18th.

The work is mixed media on paper. The painting is very hard to photograph due to the glass, but hopefully you can see that it is partly charcoal (largely the left hand side- the sea, sky and galleon shipwreck silhouette) and partly pen and ink and/or watercolour (the washed up seaman).

This piece has the most beautiful, romantic quality to it and is most unusual. It is ready to grace any interior.
