A Chinese wooden tea table ~ A

PLEASE NOTE: We have a several of these all listed individually and priced separately so matched pairs or multiples are possible.

A most elegant and useful piece; classic Oriental styling in good proportions.

This Chinese stand dates from the 19th century. Likely made from red elm (zelkova, typical of Jiangsu province).

This style of table is also known as a tea table and often came in pairs. A pair of these make ideal bedside tables or lamp tables besides a sofa and are superbly functional pieces as well as beautiful to look at!

This particular piece has a ‘cracked ice’ mosaic design shelf at the base, a mark of quality and a useful lower tier. It also features a drip tray around the edge which is a challenging feat of carpentry.

Wonderfully worked throughout, and in good, stable order. Patina in spades!

Ready for your plant, lamp or objet d'art.
