A rare Chinese cushion form basket

An absolutely exceptional, very large (57cm) intricately woven basket suitcase.

This basket has a cushion form with attractive handles and clasp. The detail to the weave is charming.

The vibrant red is so attractive and most auspicious.

It really is a beautiful and very rare piece (we could find very few examples, with one being sold at Sotheby’s).
