An oxblood Chesterfield armchair with button back and seat

Arguably the most beautiful and perfectly worn leather chesterfield armchair we have seen!

This chair is an all original, rarer full button back and seat example. Very soft and supple leather, very worn, with missing buttons etc, but not torn. The perfect balance.

The chair was originally oxblood red and is extremely dark, close to a deep brown, and it has weathered wonderfully. The buttoning is deep on the back and seat, and the sitting position is reclined and luxurious.

This chair has its original horsehair stuffing. The seat and frame are sturdy though the springs on the arms have lost their covering of hair stuffing (hence the slightly angular look of the top of the arms).

Sits on original bun feet and verdigris brass castors.

This chair is battered, bruised and glorious! A real showstopper. Ripe for restoration but completely useable as is. And very comfortable at that.
