An oversized terracotta bust of Niobe

An extremely beautiful, scene-stealing bust of spectacular, Country House or Chateau proportions.

Well modelled and beautifully patinated.

Oversized- far larger than life size.

This wonderful bust is an original piece sculpted in terracotta and has good age.

The bust depicts Niobe, who in Greek mythology, is the daughter of Tantalus and the wife of King Amphion and Queen of Thebes. Niobe, weeping for her slain children, was turned to stone from which tears continued to flow. She was the prototype of the bereaved mother.

This bust is just captivating and will be a joy to add to any interior.
