A wonderful, old brass vessel which we believe is Indian and depicts Garuda. Garuda appears in the Hindu, Buddhist and Jain faiths and is a kite-like figure, king of the birds, an ever vigilant protector demigod with the power of swift travel.
A large size at 25cm x 22.5cm.
Beautiful scalloped and pierced rim. Signed with a ‘P’ to the base.
This piece is in lovely original condition and is profusely decorated.
