An ebonised Chinoiserie fitted cabinet on stand

A truly beautiful and very rare old Chinese fitted cabinet on its original stand, with the most wonderful hand painted gilt decoration, and simply sublime legs/feet!

Likely early 20th century in our opinion, though we’ve seen others in similar styles offered as 19th century.

The fitted interior is very useful and so elegant in the contrasting colour.

A single large drawer forms part of the base, but the base is decorated to all sides so you can choose which way to orientation the piece (drawer one side, dragons verso).

A very attractive and stylish piece.

If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: well used surface wear and scratches. Rubbing to the gilding. The internal lock is missing but the escutcheon remains, and so there is no key. One door has a latch but the other rests slightly ajar by a few mm as seen.
