An Anglo-Indian octagonal carved table

An absolutely stunning, beautifully and profusely carved octagonal inlaid table (bovine bone), very much in the style of the Punwani Brothers of Calcutta or other Moorish examples imported and retailed by Liberty & Co in the late 19th Century as illustrated in their 1890s catalogues.

Late Victorian/early 20th century, this table is truly lovely. The carving is marvellous, and in absolutely superb condition.

Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: plenty of wear to all parts, both legs and top, giving it a great patina. The table is steady and solid. No breaks or repairs. Smooth folding action. Some filled-in losses to the bone inlay. Join to the top of the table but this is as it was made, no movement, stable.
