A WWII era wooden filing cabinet

A superb, tall, 4 drawer filing cabinet with its original makers stamp verso.

Marked with the royal cypher for George Rex VI dating it to 1936-1952/WW2 era. The typed label shows it had a military use at the vital Ministry of Supply.

All this history makes it a truly special thing, repeat with lots of glorious wear.

It’s still absolutely useable- there are some removable partitions within the 4 large drawers, and more could be added to the drawers without them if deserved, or they can be rearranged, or left ‘open’ forming good, deep storage. All the drawers have a lovely action (the sliding mechanisms are wonderful all-wood construction).

We truly love this piece and are certain you will too!
