A Victorian pine meat safe

A gorgeous, very large Victorian/Edwardian meat safe.

This substantial cupboard (far larger than average) has two tongue and groove internal shelves (plus the base boards) for storage. These shelves can be removed wholly or partially thinned by removing individual boards.

Zinc mesh to the front doors and one side, with one side boarded.

Original brass handle, with latch on the other door.

These are great in retail spaces for displaying folded clothes or trinkets etc, and make excellent storage in the home (for example in the bathroom for towels or linen).

Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. There are signs of old woodworm- we have retreated and observed for 2 weeks and there is nothing active at all. This is sturdy and strong.
