A spectacular Art Nouveau dress mirror

A truly exceptional fold out mirror, this enormous and rare piece is just exceptional.

The two huge, thick, top quality bevelled mirror panes are mounted on wooden panels, similar in construction to doors, covered in a wonderful, romantic, flaky green paint.

The mirrors and panels have a quintessentially Art Nouveau top, with wonderful, undulating lines. The organic handle is bronze we believe, with the perfect verdigris, as are the castors.

This mirror would at one time have had a third panel, opening on its castors using the handle at the edge. It is now just two panels, being the perfect shape (and more easily accommodated) to stand in a corner to add depth and interest to any room, or of course it stands firmly in a V-shape for use as an all-angle mirror.

It stands on four castors, just shy of a magisterial 2m.

A truly wonderful piece, and one we won’t see the like of again. There is nothing to compare it to on the internet so do not hesitate and miss out.

Small loss to the top corner of one mirror panel - see image. Chips to the edges of the mirror. One replacement castor. General wear, scratches, marks. It stands firmly. It is extremely heavy. Overall this piece is wonderfully timeworn, and for us, it is just perfect.
