A small wooden pedestal desk

A gorgeous late Victorian pedestal desk. The proportions are great on this example: it is a very useable, neat size at 122cm x 61cm.

For us, this piece has the perfect patina with the right amount of age related wear. It’s in fair overall condition.

All drawers have locks (no key). All the charming brass button handles are present.

The two pedestals are raised on porcelain castors.

Dark brown faux leather pad.

A wonderfully stylish and useful piece, looking for its new home.

PLEASE NOTE: This desk separates into three pieces- so it is easy to transport and manoeuvre into place in any spot.

We’ve taken images both inside and outdoors to give the best idea of colour.

Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: this desk has plenty of wear and is priced accordingly. It has overall wear, knocks, marks etc as seen. The drawers have a good, smooth action. The right pedestal (final image) appears to have old repairs to bring it together- you can see slight gaps in the joints above the drawers in that image (?) but it’s structurally sound.
