A shop display barrel - No.19

A beautiful piece, this Victorian display barrel is such a gorgeous thing.

We’re told this barrel would have sat in a shop as a display stand with internal storage. The original gilt signwritten ‘19’ is a lovely addition. Cast iron and hand riveted bands. The patina is so rich.

A charming, tactile piece and a real treasure no matter what you use it for.
