A set of seven hand-painted alabaster fruits

A very rare and absolutely beautiful old set of solid marble or alabaster fruit. All hand painted and hand carved- as unique and characterful as real fruit!

These pieces have good age and are most likely Italian in origin where they were extremely popular.

This set comprises seven large and heavy pieces: apples, an orange, an apricot, a fig and a peach. They are each carefully recreated and have such a realistic appearance.

These will make a beautiful still life display whether they are kept together, split into their individual fruits or grouped.

Please note: the velvet stand is not included.
