A set of 20 Gould and Richter bird lithographs by Hullmandel and Walton

An amazing opportunity to acquire a magnificent and very rare set of 20 framed and glazed antique lithographs, all depicting the most glorious birds.

Each is a large piece, measuring 52cm x 41cm framed.

From our research, we believe these beautiful lithographs may be hand coloured. The images are bright and so beautiful.

They date to the 1800s (around 1860/1861), and were produced by Hullmandel and Walton, imp.

The works themselves are by John Gould (British painter and ornithologist 1804-1881) and printmaker H C Richter (Henry Constantine).

The detail is just breathtaking. We have tried to include as many images as possible but these are far lovelier in reality.

Bespoke and professionally framed and matted by Reid and Son of Leighton Buzzard some time ago (the firm no longer exists).

They are the perfect pieces for the trade, or to fill a wall or spread throughout a property. A very rare opportunity.
