A religious gilt metal frame

We know little about this, except that it is truly beautiful!

19th century. Made of an intricately engraved and chased gold metal, this large (38cm) religious piece is captivating.

A picture could be added, as we’ve shown for illustrative purposes only in some of the images.

The frame has a ring verso for hanging and the rebate has small tabs that can be bent to close in any picture and backing board. You could even add a mirror, or create your own monstrance or reliquary receptacle.

A wonderfully rare piece.
