A pair of Chinese carved hardwood armchairs

A superb, rare pair of Hollywood Regency Chinese hardwood armchairs.

These sumptuous, handmade chairs are both beautifully carved with two dragon panels and two phoenix panels, in the back and sides. The backs also bear the double happiness symbol in a pediment roundel.

All the carvings are hand done and picked out with gilding.

These are very comfortable.
