A modernist rocking chair

A wonderful mid-century modernist rocking chair, oversized with that huge, glorious ladder back- very much in the style of the CH45 rocking chair by Carl Hansen & Søn, or the J16 by Hans Wegner.

This chair is by an unknown maker, but following research we believe it’s either Danish or Italian.

It has wonderful lines and is an imposing size. A beautiful piece and very comfortable!

Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. As seen in the images, but not limited to: the rush seat has lots of wear- but is structurally fine to sit on. Works well with a cushion or rug as shown (not included). You can have seats re-woven for around £80. We’ve priced this piece to leave you room for this if desired. Some water marks to the wood, plus general wear, scratches etc.
