A hand-carved wooden cherub bust

A superb piece of hand carving, heavily flawed as you can see but utterly beautiful.

This piece is so tactile. It’s artefact-like in its wonderfully naive style.

This piece is about 50-70 years old but is in an older, artisan style having been hand produced, and had been abandoned in a Southeast Asian workshop following a volcanic eruption before being uncovered and brought back to the U.K.

A piece that’s sure to bring you pleasure and grace any collection.
