A dark wood captain's chair

A gorgeous old bow back chair, with the richest, dark patina. Complete with full maker’s marks.

Beautifully turned arms and legs. Shaped back. Turned and shaped base supports. It is a very comfortable chair.

It’s marked to the back of the seat- AWF, possibly by Goodearl and Sons of High Wycombe. Also GRV which we believe stands for the King George era.

A joy for a lifetime. A handsomely stylish thing whether as a reading chair, desk chair or an occasional seat.
