A brown leather club chair raised on castors

A perfectly worn, high quality leather armchair.

The chair is upholstered in well worn/marked (as seen) leather hide which is thick and supple. Elegantly studded. Raised on brass castors.

The colour varies where it is faded from a beige brown, through a deep brown to an oxblood red in parts. We have photographed it both indoors and out to give you the best idea of colour and wear.

The chair is structurally very sound, the springs are in great order, the arms firm, the cushion squab is plump.

The chair is truly comfortable with a good, upright seating position. Well supported. It is of relatively petite proportions. Very much in a 1930s/40s Art Deco style but we do not know the age of this piece.

A most handsome and extremely comfortable chair for someone who wants the look of a well loved piece but one that has years of life left in it.

Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. Please note: this piece has plenty of wear: The castors have verdigris (we love this!), there are stains and marks to the leather throughout as seen, there are depressions in the leather, the leather has scratches, the leather is opening on one bottom edge where it meets the base, the bottom black felt base cover has a tear so you can see up inside the chair- the springs can therefore be seen to be sound!

All these elements make the chair beautiful to us, authentic and charmingly timeworn.
