A brown leather art deco French daybed with drop arms and velvet cushions

This is an absolutely superb, antique leather daybed. Likely French.

It's beautifully worn with soft, supple leather. Studded details.

Both arms drop and can be done so independently. The arms rest securely upright at 90•, or can be dropped to 45•, or can be laid completely flat making it perfect for sitting, reclining or sleeping on. If you wish to place the sofa against a wall, the side cushions sit side by side to form the perfect back.

Perfect in a guest room or as a sofa bed, or anywhere that space is at a premium. 

The cushions are brown/tan buttoned velvet. The central seat cushion can be reversed showing grey linen with brown velvet edging. These cushions could be reupholstered to suit any room- stripes, calico etc. This is an easy renovation if desired as only the cushions need to be worked on, not the body of the sofa itself. However, we do love it as it is and it’s perfectly useable.

The whole piece is so stylish, well made and extremely useful. Ready to grace any space.

Condition: Where there are specific points to note we will detail these as far as possible but please be aware that all our items have wear commensurate with age and are as seen in the photographs. If you require any specific information please do not hesitate to get in contact. Please note: this piece has plenty of wear commensurate with age: the cushions are dusty, one side of an arm cushion has a black paint mark which can be hidden face down- last photo-, and they are generally worn as seen on the other side, some buttons are loose (brown side, or missing on the grey side), the leather is well rubbed. None of these points detract for us.
