A spindle back captain's desk chair

A gorgeous old captain’s style desk chair on castors.

The chair swivels, and the tilt can be adjusted on the knob underneath.

We’ve not seen a chair quite like this one- it has a lovely distressed patina, bow back with spindles, and studded leather seat (the seat has possibly been dyed, but either way the red beneath is coming through).

We believe this is a vintage piece looking at the mechanism in a much older style, and intentionally distressed.

There is a cosmetic, not structural, base cover piece missing as seen in the comparison shot at the end (it's a piece of wood that sits at an angle across the legs to cover the metal stem).
