A wonderful memento mori picture after Swiss symbolist painter Arnold Boecklin’s work, ‘Self portrait with death playing the fiddle’. Pencil and paint on paper, it sits in a beautiful old gilt frame (with plenty of losses as seen) adding to the romance of it.

Please note that the frame is antique but the drawing is contemporary.

The picture has a great, dark, decorative look and is ready to grace any wall.
