An early wooden dough bin raised on legs

Appraised as 18th century or earlier, this exceptional dough bin or kneading trough is just so beautiful.

The simple, early form is absolutely gorgeous. Worn smooth with decades and decades of use, the rich patina is magical.

Having a flat top and the added bonus of good internal storage, this piece would make a superb console or side table where good looks as well as usefulness are important.
